During the Managing Technology module the last few weeks we talked about how technology as a tool in business has changed. One of the key points is that the old model, thinking about “IT” (Information Technology) as the keepers of information doesn’t work anymore. We need to consider all of the myriad of ways technology is useful now, and not just hide it in the old models.
One of the short videos we watched during class was about re-thinking terminology and looking at Business Technology vs. Information Technology. Here’s a lecture from Forrester’s IT forum in 2007, entitled Seven Things I Would Say to Your CEO:
